I'm sure all of the race boats have crash boxes, I know Bobs has them for sure

legal cat-lite w/crash boxes, 1:50 ratio & 40P prop will do 131-132 mph.

Thanks, i sorta figured they all had crash boxes. I was just wondering what it would do to the top end speed switching to a regular shiftable trans in a cat lite. Guess i was just thinking out loud like if someone were to buy a retired cat lite and want to "civilize" it for pleasure use (even thought its really not that tough to get use to shutting down to shift and re fire)

Those are some impressive numbers and not doubting it for a moment. Curious, what is the fully rigged dry weight of the boat?

They have to be more than 8350 lbs after the race.

I happened to be on a dock on a sat midday, mile 20, windy midday, woods pulled up in ltl speedy crash boxes dry exhaust and all he put it in the slip with minor help
that thing was loud

Default 40 MTI speed

The 40 with 525's is alot faster than most people would expect.
Great acceleration if u prop it to run in the 120MPH range but the new style SCL versions will easily run in the upper 130's light on fuel.
