I always like to go to the Pelican bar at pier 66. Just very basic food, cold drinks, and one of the best views around. Just my opinion.

You are right, that one is a gem, especially when everything else is crowded, there always seems to be an open spot there, only bad thing is right now there is a huge mega yacht blocking most of the view, a few weeks ago I went as well, and some Ahole named S. Spielburg decided to dock his boat right in front of my table! lol

Pelican bar is in this video some where,

Thanks for all the help......We ate Sunday Brunch at Pelican Grand, just gorgeous. We were simply driving and saw the sign, what a nice place, we ate outside. $40 a person but the food was fantastic and the view was peiceless. Last night we had dinner at the 15th St fisheries, very nice and even fed the Tarpon. Today we drove down Las Olas and saw a 88' Pershing sitting outside this gorgeous huge home. We also went to fastboats.com and had a fun time there. We saw them getting a 40-something foot orange, yellow and black MTI with 1075's ready for some guy in Ny that supposedly owns an insulation business. I guess there was bad gas in it so they were having issues but it looked and sounded sweeeet! Makes my 33 Outlaw look like a Bayliner! We went over to the huge indoor marina behind it, everyone at both places were so nice. What a set up. We also did the Jungle Queen tour and we are getting ready to go on it again for the dinner cruise. We are staying at the Westin so we will walk next door to the W for dinner one night as recommended. We also want to check out the Hard Rock casino. Wish my boat was with us, the ocean seems amazing. Thanks for all the help guys!

As already said 954 Steak at the W is a must and Yolo too

Another good intra-coastal joint is Houston's on Atlantic Blvd

Then for go fasts take a ride down to TNT & Lip-Ship. Its only about a 20-30 minute drive from Ft. Lauderdale beach, depending on traffic and how fast you drive, but that's going to be the best place for go-fasts.

Another cool place is Duffy's in Sunny Isles, it's a sports bar on the intra-coastal and down near haulover sand bar.

Enjoy!!
