Contour is waterproof to 1 meter and the go pro is waterproof to 60 meters. LCD back for viewing video is a plus also.

The Go Pro is in a case so if you put the contour in a case it's good to 60 meter's or more.
The biggest plus is that the Contour has GPS and logs in your
speed, elevation and location.
A friend that I ride with has the Go Pro and the picture is great but the one draw back is the sound, the wind screws up the mic.
So all his videos are to music and I like to hear the engine.
Not only can you adjust the sensitivity of the mic but it comes with an external one also.
For me it's all about the mic and the sound.

I did hours of research and ended up with the innovation drift hd170. Main reason was the remote and user interface/Lcd screen. It isn't as waterproof as the gopro or contour but that wasn't as important to me.

IMO you cant go wrong with any of these three 1080 cams it boils down to what you want out of a camera.

I have the original hero. I never use the 1080p setting though.. I use the r3 setting for 720p x 60fps. Its your best frame rate for faster motion and I have had no quality issues at 720p

X2. My Drift is the same way. Plus on my camera the 720 has the more narrow lens which I prefer. I hate the "bubble" effect of the wide-angle lens.
