alpine mc-20 remote programing ?

alpine mc-20 remote programing ?
How do you program it, the directions are pitiful. All I can get it to do is say Alpine, when the head unit is off, and it will display the channel when the head unit is on. None of the buttons will do anything, any help would be appreciated.

i have the mc10 which is the old model, but when u enter programming mode (Enter+Return+Play) wait about 30 secs, then go to reset mc & press enter. That should start the procedure to pair the remote to the headunit.

I can't even get it to go to programming mode, Im starting to think the remote might be bad.
