The farthest I ever got was dividing the number of hours I boated last year by my most optomistic fuel burn number .... I didn't go any farther than that! Ruins the fun. It will never make sense on paper. ...*nd my wife has no clue.

Uhh, do yourself a favor, don't do that. I did that with my first boat and sold it 4 years later. Despite the fantastic times I had on the boat, when costs were considered, I decided keeping it wasn't worth it. I'm NOT going to keep a total with this boat, believe me. Especially not with the price of fuel today!
