fun, fun, fun in reasonable conditions
only a true 20'6" bottom I believe
excellent slolom type handling
great for twisty river fun

only thing I do not recommend is crashing hammered in the little crawl-in cabin of one!
I still remember that! and it was 20+ years ago...

how fast can you tow it ?

[QUOTE=tjags;3663098]Thanks a lot for the info and the offer. I may take you up on it! I have never driven one, and have only seen one on the water on Long Lake. I think red an white?

I like the old school style, and almost every review I've read is positive. Seem to be great boats.

Ours is wht/red stripes. Could have been us as we typically stay up here with the little boat.

Ahh Pachangas, they are great boats, unfortunately I have yet to receive the pleasure of owning one, but I plan to buy one sometime in the next couple years, I have been just searching for the perfect one.... If its a salt water boat 11k with a 454/bravo isn't bad at all, assuming hours are pretty low (under 700)... If they are fresh water boats well 11k is a really good price, considering everything around me is freshwater and sells for about 12-14k. The boats were compared to some other boats around the same size (Formula, Scarab, Etc.) When they first came out and it topped them all in performance. I have been on a few and checked them out thoroughly and I really don't see flaws. They are just really great built boats, and hey they are a Sea Ray, which only helps you when you try to sell it. The cabins are not exactly the easiest to get into though, but they are pretty good sized for a 22 (20'5) boat. For the money though, maybe look into a 27' pachanga, you can pick those up for 15k which as long as it isn't too high is in my opinion well worth the investment. Anyway good look with your search!

had a 27' also
really big deep usable with a great easy-entry cabin and berth, comfy settees
unique and tall bolsters too
fiberglass non-skid floor and snap-in

Seems to a popular setup in Maine. I bought this one in Portland 2 years ago.

That's the twin to mine. Does it have a 377 Scorpion? If so, I sold that guy the motor. -Bought it for my 22P and never got around to installing it.

Nice pic!

Quick search around me shows a couple for sale far in excess of the $ numbers mentioned here.

Probably..... BUT in the current economy, listing price and selling price are greatly different...... As of late these two numbers can be thousands apart. Just sayin, a high listing price doesn't necessarily mean much. Especially if it has been up for sale for a while at that high listing price...

Heading to check one of them out this weekend...and have lined up an engine survey and a glass guy to look at it if needed down the road.

well we love ours to pieces, I can't bring myself to sell it! I will say the boat does get small quickly, the cockpit is pretty tight and the cabin can be a real bear to get in and out of. and once in you can't actually sit up, even if you used the porti potti you'd be hunched over. we use ours strictly for storage. that said i think for it's size it drives and handles fantastically. Good luck on your search, I think it's a pretty decently built boat, but one thing I would definately check for is signs of delamination, I've seen and read horror stories of Pachanga's shedding their skin so to speak. I've even found some smaller blisters on my hull that I've had to repair.
