Default Most popular boat of today !

I am just curious of your opinion.
I was in southern Florida for two seperate ten day stays.
And all I saw was a zillion center console boats, probably ranging from 23 feet to 32 feet all running twin outboards.
What would you guys say is the most popular best performing twin engine center console on the market today???
Thanks in advance for your replies !

most popular and best performing are practically mutually exclusive.

I'd take a guess that most popular is Hydrasports. they are like fleas in S. Fla. Other pretty common ones are pro line, trophy, whaler, grady, contender, etc.

It all comes down to dollars and sense. there is a wide market out there depending on what you want. for example... Pro Line and Donzi were owned by the same company. Pro Line was more on the hard core fishing side of things... Donzi was more of a blend of comfort/speed with less emphasis on fishing.

What seems to becoming popular where I am is older quality boats being resurrected from the bone yard made into what the owner wants, how the owner wants.

Aquasport, Shamrock, Mako, Morgan, Luhrs just to mention a few.

Just so there is no misunderstanding, these boat rebuilders are completely gutting the boat to the bare hull and going up from there. New stringers, transom, tanks, bulkheads... pretty much everything!

A great deal of the popularity of a boat/motor combination seems to be the strength of dealership, availabilty of knowledgeable service techs.

No hard numbers, simply an observation, it seems on the new/newer boats I see around here they have Yamahas mounted. And yes, they are generally CCs with a T-top.

In our area everyone seems to hold Regulators on a pedestal. If your a local mid-income person who things your top **** you strive to buy a regulator.

Yellowfin is pretty much the bar setter. although, Bahama is better built and more refined. Conch, SeaVee, Conender, intrepid are top brands. alot of guys are starting to take the older hulls and updating them, 25 contender, 23 SeaCraft (potter hull), 25 seavee, ect.
its hard to say what is the best brand in the CC market because there are multifunction and have huge price jumps. there is the hard core fishing crowd, diving crowd, go fast CC crowd, Party Crowd ect. it all depends.

Performance Center Consoles started getting extremely popular in 2004 and really took off around 2007. For Florida they are a easy to live with, take care of boat.

That is a good observation, and Predator Powerboats have been very busy with rebuilding these older hulls. If you have an older hull in mind and would like to know the total cost of rebuilding your next previously-owned boat, send me a PM

here's a sample of what Predator Powerboats has completed:

http://predatorpowerboats.com/service.htm

P.S. They just delivered a rebuild of an older Mako CC.

And in my opinion, the best performing twin CC that I've seen on Long Island NY is the Superboat 30 CC.

here's the build thread:

The best single CC I've seen perform is : http://predatorpowerboats.com/v25%20...%20console.htm
