Default 89 Regal Velocity-Good or bad?

Does anyone on here have any experience with these boats? I have not heard much about them. Are they well built? Anything to look out for? I'm guessing its a 65ish mph boat? I have friend looking at this one and thought I would ask the OSO experts their opioions. Thanks guys.

Nice boat. Great hull design. Still love the old school look. I spent some time on a 1990 30' w/330's back in the early 90's. Speed was right at 70MPH. As with any boat that is 20 plus years old I would check for moisture in the stringers and transom. Get a surveyor to go over the boat. My 2 cents worth.

They really like air. Fast hull. Luck at Still Crazy. Same mold.

If it is in sound and good condition it can be a great boat. The ad says 454 mag but thel list them as 330 hp. Sounds like they are just the standard 454s.

30 regal/velocity First offshore boat I ever rode in.. Lilly sport Boats... I swear it was the biggest coolest thing I ever saw. 70 mph w/ Twin cyclones racing scarabs all summer. Still brings a smile to my face.

cool boat
