I need some of what this guy is on!

pasquesi 04-25-2012 10:37 AM

Yeah, but he's making such a huge sacrifice. After all....it does have a $125,000.00 powerplant!!!:lolhit:

US1 Fountain 04-25-2012 10:47 AM

Gotta love the insurance statement. Maybe his agent needs to be brought into the loop!

catinaround 04-25-2012 10:48 AM

better add some gear lube to that drive bottle b4 the sea trial

Cash Bar 04-25-2012 11:01 AM

At least he has the 90mph not recommended disclaimer. :poopoo:

vogepm 04-25-2012 11:06 AM

Is that seriously a steering stabalizer (shock) off of a solid front axle truck!!??

Knot 4 Me 04-25-2012 11:22 AM

I prefer that my crank twists...

soldier4402 04-25-2012 11:27 AM

30 grand for an 89 23ft. I dont care what it does.

the deep 04-25-2012 11:43 AM

I'll bet it gets a little warm under the engine hatch with that one-off custom exhaust ....prime example of car guy's working on a boat...:eekdrop:

BROWNIE 04-25-2012 11:53 AM

In all fairness, it truly is one of a kink.......

thirdchildhood 04-25-2012 12:30 PM

:lolhit: Love ya, Brownie. This boat was discussed here not too long ago. I think someone was wondering what kind of power steering that was :). Same boat, same ad. Did anyone else notice that the registration in the pics expired in '04?

Rancho RS5000? :picard1: :D

gofastlvr 04-25-2012 01:18 PM

The rancho shock steering stabilizer is only topped by the high end monochrome Impulse graph / depth finder! Those headers aren't water jacketed... are they? I doubt if that one will pass a coast guard inspection!

Damn , coulda swore that was a Rugged Trail hydraulic stearing unit.....:lolhit:...seen the same thing on them Bayliner racing units . Looks like easy install , just nail it on but make sure to bend the nails over on the inside of the transom for safety...

HaxbySpeed 04-25-2012 01:42 PM

The headers do appear to be jacketed. I love the plastic Thunder emblem on the T-body. Anyone know what vehicle that came off?

Perlmudder 04-25-2012 01:47 PM

h8ers gunna h8! :evilb:

I'll bet the "Bird" part of it is stuck somewhere on the boat!

I was wondering that same thing They look like Basset jet boat headers or something like that. They look to small to be jacketed, you can almost see some of the plumbing for the water inlkector tubes.

US1 Fountain 04-25-2012 04:00 PM

Are those the old exhaust holes barely visible under the exhaust tips?

HaxbySpeed 04-25-2012 05:32 PM

I think you're right, you can see the old holes in the inside too.

I can't get a handle on those headers, I think you might have it with the water injection Dave. There's definitely some hoses and chit hooked up to 'em.

Whadya bet he has AC/DC cranked every time he goes out

"THUNDER!" na na na na naa "THUNDER!"
