Heck, one time back in the 80's the truck driver for the Active Cat "Miss Gallo Wine" race team was going to pick up Lou Cooper (The Owner of the boat) at the Miami Airport then head down to Key West for the races, He tried to pull it under some sort of parking garage that was 12" too low for the boat, it Fu*ked the cockpits and engine hatches really bad. they had to take it to Cougar to fix it all in one day, (I think thats the first time I ever worked 24 hrs straight)

I and others at my shops over the years have done similar "brain fart" handling of the overhead rollup doors and a few times we have even taken skin and hair off our heads with a few partial roll-ups!
We have a new rule. "The door is all the way up or all the way closed!" Of course were in California and we can get away with that more.

Best Regards,
Ray @ Raylar

I did that once, but not with a roll up.. Sliding doors on the barn. Had the hatch up (what was I thinking, I wasnt) The header on the barn door opening won!! Good thing was, it just caught the upper part of the pad, ripped the skirt, never hurt the top part. Took it to the upolstery shop, asked if they could just replace part of the skirt and mentioned I would like to add some foam on the pad in the future. She said, why not now.. They added length to the skirt, added 1" of foam and it ended up being a big improvment.. It was like I lifted the hatch to just the right level.. From then on, I even think about hooking up the trailer, the hatch goes down.
I did use the duct tape for one afternoon, had to go boating!! New softer sun pad, never looked back!!
