I always leave mine in, the white fiberglass is impossible to keep clean carpet is easier. Never had a problem with it getting damp.

I keep it in, And clean it after every time out, My wife likes to give are 3 year old cheetos when we are on the water.

My boat has a BLACK fiberglass liner! I have no option but to have the carpet in all the time. I would anyways even if the floor was white though--I like carpet.

i leave it in all the time. looks better then a dirty white floor. then after a long weekend at the islands i take it out and clean it.

I always ran with my carpet in up north and when we bought a place in Florida I wondered how my red carpet would work out down here. So far it's been great. We beach our boat a lot and if it gets wet or sandy we just take it out and hose it off. It feels great on the feet and looks a heck of a lot better than dirty white gel coat and it sure gives better footing. I see no reason to not have it in unless it's raining.

Love the carpet! Always stays in, gets vacuumed every weekend.
