Solid engine mount alignment question.

Never really have to change alignment when swapping engines unless it was off to start with. GM blocks are all pretty much the same. Adding washers to the back mounts is definitely not the way to
align the engine. If you have to do that something is wrong with the mounts.

The important thing is to have the original mount plates, since that is where the tolerances come in. If you have the original plates then the engines should be perfect. My boat has had three different engines, same plate, no alignment issues.
