Any Updates?
I am sure it has been run by now, and not just put in the water for a photo, and put back on the trailer.

I hope we don't get the "owner does not care about top speed" props are set up for Family running with the kids.

Weather has been tough up here this week, blowing 30+ in the mornings and raining most of the week

Well, that is certainly not boating weather. Hope the weather clears up for you soon. Really looking forward to hear how she runs and handles with the outboards.

The last few weeks down here by the Gulf Coast was like that. The winds might have been a tad higher though. The Hurricanes are gone and the water level is back to normal. Temps in the 70's with lots of sunshine!!! Time to go boating again.

The 400R is "horribly" heavy compared to the 300R. That is why I went with twin 300's on my 2750 LaveyCraft vs the 400's.
Mine is a 90mph boat, and performance is fine, but 100+ mph sure would have been GREAT!!!!!

This Outer Limits SV29 should be close to 100mph, if not over by a few with 300's.

Well that example is a cat so not really a fair comparison. If this OL can hit even 90 with the 300Rs then that would be pretty awesome and definitely in the thrill zone!

I think the new owner has a great boat.

I agree, very nice boat. And always someone out there with more so to speak.
BUT from my perspective when you have a 90 MPH boat your cruise is maybe 60, if you have a 140 MPH boat then your cruise is maybe 100.
So even though you aren't wide open all the time. You're now able to achieve a faster cruise if you want.

Looks like the props are turning in, I wonder which ratio lower units, who’s version 5 blade and pitch, asking for a friend. 😀

Great point!!! Bravo!!! Now I just need to hit that lottery. “Hey! Let’s go for nice 100 mph cruise.” “Sure! Let me fix a drink first.”

On a side note. I can’t wait to see what this boat cruises at.

Balance I would think is the key as well. The 450’s at a minimum are 177 lbs. heavier each, at 689lbs. 700 lbs. for the 450 sport master as per mercury which in that case adds 376lbs. of additional weight hanging off the back. With a cats/ air entrapment, the ability to carry the weight should be a definite advantage over the “V” I would think on this size. I think the 300’s are the sh!t for this application 😉.
Just my opinion. 👍
