Default Motorized stern light

I have a stern light that use to go up and down when turned on but now only goes up a few inches and makes a clicking/popping sound and stops. Does anyone have one of these lights and had any luck fixing them?

I had one on my old boat (havnt put on on the new one yet). mine did the same thing and I called the Tech at the company. He had me take the little plate off (3 screws) and use a screw driver touching the pins inside to make it work. after a few times of doing this I never had another problem. If you have questions PM me and I will give you my cell number and talk you through it while you do it.

If it's the same as the one on my Nordic, It is made by a company called Innovative Lighting.
It costs about $180.

Biggest piece of crap I've ever seen. Been thru three of them in three years. They don't work but a few times and then the same scenario you describe.

This is my second one. The first was broken right from the box and the company replaced it. The new one is 5 or 6 years old but only been up and down maybe a dozen times...not good!! I'll try AL Troopers fix and let you know the results.

Looked cool but I avoided getting one for the obvious reason that it would never work long.
