G Note, what hole are the motors mounted? They could be to low, should be on top hole. You could just have tired motors? did they do compression tests on the tune up?

If they are no-name props, I have seen some pretty far off stuff....props that were marked 22 and actually measured 25 on a pitch gauge. I'd either take those props and have them checked, or get a known good set in the size you want to try. If you're not sure what size to run, I'd talk to a good prop guy. I use Kevin @ R&R Prop Shop. 702-564-7502.

Getting 67-68 with optimax 300 xs strokers. 25 pitch 3 blade mirage. Saw 69 with no gas and alone.

I also recently purchased an older scarab sport flat bottom job with 225 efi's. I must say coming from a 312 fastech over to the center console is different for sure, but I'm loving it. The ease of maintenance of the outboards and lack of carpet and interior makes it so nice for the salt water environment. I do miss running damn near 90 though. #slowboat. Haven't GPSed the new boat, but I'm not expecting much out of it. Does handle rough water well though, was very impressed with that.

Being pulled by something? Kinda tough to get under way without gas.
