Very impressive.

Big Time 06-13-2012 07:52 AM

What's the engine configuration? Side by side or staggared?

4bus 06-13-2012 07:54 AM

Very nice, love the boat, love the cabins! That windshield is horrible though!

Marginmn 06-13-2012 08:26 AM

If true that would be faster than the 38 Donzi, 39 Top Gun Unlimited, or the 42 Fountain claim to run with 700's. Wish they had more pics.

FuelinAround 06-13-2012 08:31 AM

At least sonic seems to be doing one thing correct right now

Brad 06-13-2012 08:34 AM

Anyone know who designed the steps?

Staggered is my guess, but I am not certain so I will check.

Plum_Crazy 06-13-2012 11:08 AM

Staggered...

I believe it, the 39 Velocity ran 114 I believe with 700's and the Sonic has A/C, maybe a few more amenities. Great Number Guys!

Jason Johnson 06-13-2012 11:33 AM

Engines are staggered ...we should have a few more photos to post this afternoon.

SS930 06-13-2012 12:13 PM

Very nice, congrats to the new owner and builder!

TCBoss302 06-13-2012 12:41 PM

What part of TN is it going to?

Superbabi 06-13-2012 02:35 PM

Very nice looking boat, sharp lines, from what I understand the lowers were blueprinted by Wilson Custom Marine, and Craig Wilson drove her to 110 !!!! Nice

Jason Johnson 06-13-2012 02:44 PM

The owners are from the Nashville area.

BONDO10 06-13-2012 03:26 PM

Great numbers. What did she weigh in at? There are a bunch of great shots on other threads that I believe Tim Sharkey took. Maybe in his "shop tour" series. Paint and Interior are outstanding.Nice work.

And 6 ft of head clearance in the cabin? Just curious :lolhit:

mikebrls 06-13-2012 04:25 PM

:) so 2 of those new 1350 turbo motor's should push this boat to the 140 + mph mark that would be unreal with all the comfort that boat has in the cabin .
so do you think an extra 650 hp a motor would pick up 30 mph ? " " that's 1300 hp total extra "

just a guess

mike :)

If those 700's aren't "turned up" that is crazy impressive. If it has the stage three the peformance is congruent with the competition.

TBAG 06-13-2012 07:31 PM

Nice, I'd like to see more pics of the cockpit and cabin. My only gripe thus far is the same as a few others have mentioned, that windshield is fugly.

Fenderjack 06-13-2012 07:44 PM

Thats bad ass. I have always liked the lines of coyote/ sonic, now this new style. Congrats, esp with 6' head room

Agreed..but as you know..some turn them up and deny so.....either way its a better Sonic than what I use to own..with a great bottom design..excellent speed, and a huge cabin that is useful..I see all plus's...

Very True. This definately puts sonic in a different league.

That's the beauty of the internet...we can change stories on the fly :)
I spoke with Tony Frisina and he said nothing was changed on the 700s and they were installed just as the factory delivered them. They did consult with Mercury technicians on drive heights, props, etc., in order to achieve the desired top speed.

Boat sales upward trend

I'm seeing a sales increase in the hp marketplace.I've insured this 38 HYPERSONIC,52 OUTERLIMITS(diesel),2 NORTECH 47vee hulls, and this week the 43 SPECTRE cat,and another 52 OUTERLIMITS next week.I hope this is just a start for the industry turnaround.

Randy Nielsen 06-14-2012 09:58 AM

beautiful boat guys, would like to see more pics before judging the windshield though. I like it more than the capsules only because I just cant see out of them. Randy
