I'm thinking standing or sitting up high at a 150mph
plus might be a problem going slow is also problematic

doesn't need to go 150, a 36 Skater hull with twin 300 Verados, will probably still do 60 and be decent on fuel, if you put quads on it will do 100 and still be good on fuel, and then you could cruise at 70 or 80 and still have the nice ride of the cat. You could do 525's and have great performance and still lots of room.

But how well would they handle cruising at 40-50?

Ive been saying that for years..so I now am involved. The problem is you want to satisfy both ends of the spectrum. You dont want to have the sponsoons set up so much for all speed like all these quality cats mentioned vs ride and soft re-entry. Storage, fish boxes in floor has to be considered. You really have to start from scratch. On the other end you want to accomplish something similiar...but faster than say Freeman boats, which is a quality Cat CC fishing boat. I have had the pleasure of being involved with the 22, and am having a 27 Compmillenia built (composit boat co.)...31 and 35 are next and all wide beams... I think it would be great to see one of these companies do the same. Jeff

you have to get clean water coming through that tunnel...not saying it can't be done..but is being experimented with. Quads are a better set up on a cat cc...only if you really want quads...or another possibility is the new 557's outboards. Jeff
