Default Mufflers for Merc 850SCi

Which (non switchable) muffler would you put on a set of Mercury 850SCi?

Eddie Marine?
CMI?

which one wouldn hurt the engines?

Thanks for your help,
Heiko

GGBs will not hurt power and they tame it down greatly

Run HPIs if you can find a used set around. They really work great on LOTO.

Merc X-Haust is my favourite for a new boat, but this is an used boat where I had to change all rigging to install X-Haust. That's why we are looking into mufflers.

I had custom GGB mufflers installed on my 600sci. Very happy with the performance.

Very happy with my GGB's as well. Clamp on and no performance loss. Cheap too.

Is there a certain noise level you need to meet or are you just
looking for a bit quieter?

I've had 2 sets of GGbs and they have worked well. I did lose a couple of MPH on each boat they were on compared to open tips.
