First, I am saddened at the loss of life and my heart goes out to those who lost family.
Secondly, I am angered because an irresponsible owner operated his craft unsafely endangering all the passengers. This gives boaters a bad name. There is NO way 27 people should have been on that boat. It was way over capacity which probably contributed to the capsizing due to center of gravity issues.

Too many people on the flybridge and then taking a wave on the side and that boat is going over. We had a guy die here last week after the 12 foot long boat he was in capsized during a storm that came through, the other FOUR people on the boat survived. The stupidity of some people amazes me.

2 seperate idiots caused this. 1 the guy who decided 27 people on his boat was ok. 2 the idiot who decided to go screaming past a crowd of boats watching fireworks and waking everybody. my hatteras is rated for 11 or 12 people. and 1 have no doubt it is much more stable than a silverton the same size at any given weight load. also silverton puts a GREAT BIG flybridge on their boats. tempting many more people to go upstairs...
