Default Spotlight info needed

I dont know if anybody on here would know what Im looking for. I would like to find information on the spotlights used by the commercial tow boats on the rivers. I know they are extremely bright. Any info on manufacture, brightness, where to purchase?? The best I've found so far was a 15 million handheld spotlight. I'm tired of people waking the marina at night. Including the towboats. Thanks.

see if you can find a copy of boats and harbours and look through the ads in there, it has a lot of large ship type equipment in there.

Default Aircraft landing lights...

They are fairly inexpensive and available in many wattages & voltages.

The drawback(s) is they produce a great amount of heat, quickly. They are very fragile and the element breaks quite easily.

They are available in HID also. Much more stable, but I think the price elevates rapidly.

They are also available in grouped LED bulbs, but where the basic light is in the $13-$15 range for 100w, the LED is $500+

I saw the golight site when I was looking. There are some nice lights out there. I think I'm going to get the 15 million light to keep on my boat but I'd like to entertain the thought of getting one of the large commercial lights the towboats have on them as a fixed light at the marina. No sense in doing it if its not completely crazy. LOL
