Default Slide in mufflers

I have come to the conclusion that though the boat sounds really cool I do not think some of the house boat people in the marina like the sond.....Some guy blows a airhorn every time we go past his place

Not sure which is worth my unmuffled big block or his airhorn

Can anyone sugest a good slip in muffler for my through hull slash cut tips?

Thanks all

Rex Marine , Hardin Marine , just about every one of them have it.

Slip ins really will not do that much to reduce sound. They will take some of the bark off at idle, but will probably cost you 1-2mph as well.

I have some GBB clamp-on style mufflers and looked closely at their new slip-ins. They look like a good product with minimal power loss. Or buy your own airhorn? Ha, good luck.

I have the 79.99 models on my 454 mag and they quiet it down pretty good. I would think they will do the trick for you.

Just purchased these based on some other threads I've read around the net. 8-10db is a lot that should really take the edge off and knock down the "pop". It certainly won't be quiet though.

I am cutting out the stock inline "twist" baffles since apparently they really hurt performance at similar power levels to me and can install these when I need to. My tips are only about 6" long on the short side of the angle cut so these were about my only option. These will hurt performance too, but I can have them out in seconds.
