The 350HP Volvos are a great package in that boat. At cruise speed the diesels are twice as quiet as gas motors and burn less fuel. She'll top out in the high 40s vs low 50s with gas. Parking is a breeze too, rarely ever need the bow thruster.

I agree about running down the channel at 60....It was pretty rough at 50 on a not super busy weekend. Looking at a 48 Fountain EC with trip Cummins and surface drives also, supposed to run really well, might be the best of both worlds. |
