My belly tank and sender are always keeping me on my toes. I never go below 1/2 tank on the gauge because that reading is actually a 1/4 tank...And of course it reads different on the trailer vs. in the water. |
Yeah, just took the "car" out today, it read 60% full on the lift, then 84% when I'm in the water. Hit the throttles and it's 90%! Wouldn't it be nice to tell the gauge your tank size, tell it how much fuel you put in, then have the gague show a "fuel level" based on that .... engine gives gph figures which are VERY acturate- so the gauge could add fuel used and take it out of what you have in the tank. But what do I know- I'm just the consumer;)

My Chevy truck is smart enough to tell me how many miles to empty, why can't my high tech 525EFI do that?

Someone musta been thinkin' about my boat when they placed the Tiki Bar at Islamorada exactly 1/2 tank from Homestead bayfront park, down and back(on fumes) on a full tank:lolhit:
