It maybe a narrow beam but it still has more room in the cockpit than my outlaw. They are asking 58k for it! I offered 40k so long as its is as nice as it looks in the pictures. The broker tried to tell me that I was crazy and that this boat was worth way more than 40 so on so forth. Then basically said I have no idea on the market and that it sounded like a budget issue more than anything. He then said I'll try and get that number for you. I don't get people sometimes.

58k!! 40k is more than fair....you definitely wouldn't be stealing it at that price.

$40? I was thinking I was generous at $35.

You can get a Donzi 28ZX in the same vintage for $40k and have a better built boat. There are others too... might sneak into a 292 FasTech if you shop long enough. I know there are other better built brands too, just look around.

I know people love them but every Scarab I have seen is built like crap relative to the competition.

$58K?? How do they expect people to even call on that? Let me guess, located at a dealer that does not normally deal with high performance boats?

Quote: In this economy I would say about 30K unless its showroom new and even then it is still heading into 12 model years old, Smitty
My thoughts exactly...

Yep that was my thought exactly or the guy is just that upside down in it. The more I talk to the broker the more I think he has filled the owner with bs. I found it on Craigslist and it didn't have a price on it and the wife said find out how much because she really liked it. O well I'll just keep mine till the time comes. I also like the donzi and 292's but it is finding one that the the wife and I can agree on is the hard part!
