Finally, wisdom has been spoken by Indy and F3504x4xps!
While the wording might vary a bit from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, the basic regulation is uniform throughout.
And like it or not, it is the law!

Now that I have Arneson's it's a non-issue but I still don't abuse them even with a quieted down boat... Don't get me wrong I love the sound of a loud boat and wish I could still run that way but it's not a trend that I see changing anytime soon... Once these types of laws are enacted and the authorities figure out it can be an income source it will never go away...

Come on down to Lake Texoma. We like loud fast boats. No speed limits or noise laws.

Granted, a little dated...
...but here is an interesting site! You can wager none of the current laws are any more lenient.

I know WHITE LIGHTNING uses his buddy Tim Ceaser attorney at the lake for all his noise tickets, and all Trav will say is Tim Ceaser is the MAN, and that you don't want any tickets on the water, that they are caged lions six months out of the year, and need to eat what is avaiable on how busy they are!!!!!!
