Don't know about the blower but just about all fountains come with Hydraulic steering as well as k planes.
I have seen ITS on a lot, not sure on the 29's |

Thats nice. 2 expensive options.
UD Cockpit room, nope Cabin room, nope Not in their price point. Baja had the room, cabin etc. It's all in what is important to you and the money you have to spend. |

Yea for a production boat and somewhat lower price compared to custom builds they seemed to spend the money there, full guages, most have drive showers, all have mechanical indicators.

Whats the beam and cockpit depth on that boat? I have ITS's and full hydraulic steering on my 2750 and my 21 which makes the big boat turn and the little boat turn like a race car. Another benefit of hydraulic steering is longer gimbal life. UD |

Given blowers create compression you cant put much more into an engine setup to perform without a bower.
Take a look at the chart supplied by BDS. http://www.blowerdriveservice.com/techcharts.php Whipples run cooler and you can get away with a bit more but not by much. Does the 525 use hardened valve seats? Whose valves? obviously not sodium filled stock. Those edlebrock heads arent exactly a paradigm of high performance engineering so in terms of detonation quelling they are at bottom of the chart compared to a Brodix, AFR, or dart setup. Sure you can replace stuff and add stuff - you just have to check it - and do it. Never seen a bolt on one last more than a season or two myself (including mine that I set up correctly) Set up is critical but there is more to it than just set up. If you get a bad batch of gas at at the marina or the far end of a lake like mead or powell that only has 87 and crappy 87 at that - you're done. I love it when guys say "I only put good premium gas in my rig" ...well with fountains legendary small tanks you dont always have a choice where you fill up. Engine bone connected to the steering bone? Not sure the 525 engine option has anything to do with hydraulic steering (now Im being a wise guy). Im pretty sure there wasn't an ITS option on that boat. Guy brought up supercharging, and while were all chiming in we might as well "lay it out." UD Are there better heads out there? Of course. Do you need them for supercharging? No clue what you're talking about with the hydraulic steering??? Like I said this simple thread turned into a big dik contest. Well my boat is faster than a 29 Fountain. My boat has a bigger gas tank. My boat has a bigger cockpit. My boat has a bigger cuddy. What's next, my boat has a DVD player? Who gives a chit he asked about a 29 Fountain. :lolhit: I say this smiling cause I think it's comical so please no one take it the wrong way. |

Like I said my main concern would be head gaskets and possibly heads.

Just A Bunch a guys talking about boats.
Enough dik talk- that's twice now. UD I don't care and again I think it's comical. Just not nearly as helpful to the poster as it could be. It's not like he asked "what's the best boat in the 28-30' range". BTW my little 24 has a 350 gallon gas tank. Yeah, it's that awesome. |

That's twice cause that's what it is. Instead of giving their opinion on the boat in question they instead remark how much better their boat is.

BTW my little 24 has a 350 gallon gas tank. Yeah, it's that awesome. A boat in this size having as small as 110 gallon tank vs a potential 150 is a significant difference in an identically sized boat. Last I checked a small tank was a downside and hence answered the posters question or at least brought the subject to the table. Maybe not important to you- but who cares what you think? You arent buying the boat. UD |
