On Laura from FPC Facebook she said that they did find the person and he did not make it.

I do not know any other info other than he was not a registered poker runner. I am not sure if he lives here.

This is horrible news!!!!!!! I live here locally. I will try to find out if there is anymore on this.

My condolonces to the family.

I can't find anything on local news sites except about the Fountain and the Jet Ski accident where the boy lost his foot.

All I know about the other accident is that the boat possibly rolled.

I will keep checking. Sorry....

Destin accident

Our Dailey news sais it was a 30 ft sunsation boats
1dead, 3 others made it, and are ok.
Very sorry to hear this.
Im gonna assume he had his lanyard on, cause boat was in tact and anchored on a sand bar just to the side of the marked channel near crab island. Thinking he might have made a sharp turn or over corrected to miss hitting a jetski or center console, they got ejected and cause he had his lanyard boat stopped and someone that saw it through is anchor. Just my thoughts based on the little we saw.

Again very sorry to the drivers family for the loss

Last name Shelton. A woman was driving, they hit a wave, boat spun and threw them all out. He was a local here in Destin, and it was not his boat, he was only a passenger. He was married, and had kids.

akaboatman 08-12-2012 05:02 PM

This is so sad. More prayers sent. Artie

Destin

My heart breaks for the family--------I lost my 24 year old son June 2 in a tragic car accident in tulsa ok. He was a avid boater and my best buddy. I am hurting so much and now another family has to go through what we have been going through. I will be praying for the family for peace. It will be a long time before that happens but time will help along with faith in God.

Blue and White with twin Outboards

BIGMC69 08-12-2012 11:21 PM

The boat is on the trailer now. It is a 25 motion cat with twins not sure how it happened. Only one person in the boat and he is ok. Do not know any other details.

Wow. He is ok. Thank God. So glad to hear this. Artie

X-Rated30 08-13-2012 09:18 AM

I think I know the boat. Anyone know what happened? That part of the bay is congested, but the no wake zone goes way out. I heard the boat was almost to the bridge before anyone got a line on it. CG wanted to give it to SeaTow, but some good samaritans did it instead.

BIGMC69 08-13-2012 12:12 PM

He took a boat wake to fast the boat landed crocked and rolled. When i pulled the boat out of the water last night the drives where tucked and throtles all the way back.

X-Rated30 08-13-2012 02:06 PM

Glad he is ok.

MrSneakAttack 08-13-2012 08:25 PM

25 motion

I talked to the owner monday morning. He's ok and he's happy to be alive. He wasn't running that fast, just caught a wave wrong and it stuffed and went down. He had a life jacket on and his lanyard clipped on. Let this be a lesson to us all on how quickly things can go wrong. His pride is hurt, (and his Pocketbook) but he alive and he is very glad things worked out like they did. I'm glad he ok. He seems to be a good guy. We don't need anymore accidents----I've had my fair share of grief this year to last a lifetime--No more family's need any more bad news!!

Windy wild water

It got windy Saturday afternoon as well as Friday which made for interesting water. A certain 48 MTI flew in the air and landed stern down making for a wild ride for all. The boat was way up there in the air at 90 degree angle. :eekdrop:

tomtbone1993 08-15-2012 05:19 PM

a bunch of good pix on www.gcoffshore.com

ahhhhh.... I was with all but one 48 most of Saturday and I didn't see anything like that... who are you referring to?

I mean it was a little rough but not anything like that in the intercoastal!

You mean in the bay?? There was some nasty water on Saturday afternoon, but this was on the way out to the ocean with a bunch of deep vees following. Right at the mouth. On Friday. Everybody turned back with tails tucked. That water was rough. I think this was the first time this 48 had met a wave it didn't eat up
