Question Drive damage!?!

Yesterday after hitting a wave, I started to get a vibration in my boat that felt like it was coming from the drive. Also, the drive would not shift into reverse (Bravo 1). I shut engine off to check things outback and everything looked ok. Restarted, and same issue. I then did the same thing, and then the engine would not restart. It would attempt to crank, but it seemed maybe there was some mechanical interference (I would get one click... good batteries). With shifter in Forward or neutral, the prop will not spin either way....

I suspect I have either a broken u joint or driveshaft.

I want to pull the drive off today to inspect.

Do you guys think I'm on the right track?

Thanks

I'd check the alignment also. A buddy of mine had the same thing happen last year and we found that the stringers were bad and the engine shifted slightly. The vibration stopped when the coupler finally went to hell (about 5 minutes later).

Congratulations! Another Bravo upper gear set bites the dust.
