I used them for 7 years and have NEVER had any claims.
The last boat I insured with them was a 2002 19' Glastron with a 350 in it that did just a touch over 60 mph.

I then bought a 23' Checkmate that only ran 55 with a 454 but they wouldn't insure it because they claimed that Checkmates were "too fast"

Right, they asked me, "how fast does the boat go?"

I said, "I can make it go 30 or 35 mph, whatever you want it to". Then they asked what engines and the conversation was over.

LOL

I have stopped trying to understand insurance, I just got mine through progressive and they sent me a letter saying I didn't get the best rate because I had applied for credit in the last 2 years!

WTF?

Just to explain, the only thing we owe on is the boat, the credit they were talking about is when we refinanced to lower the rate from 7.25% to 4.75%,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Both work, credit over 800. Unbelievable, insurance will come up with anything.
