To the best of my knowledge, this is definately NOT a scam. The guy selling the boat is an affluent European, who has more than one boat (quite a few from what I'm told), and needs to make some room before his new cat gets delivered.
I think his only difficuly in selling the Apache is that the boat is located in Europe, and the costs of transporting it back to the US. |
I e-mailed the ad in Off-shore Only to tell the owner his boat was on E-bay. He mailed back to thank me and said he had contacted E-bay. No question in my mind it was a scam. Also the name and e-mail address of the scammer was different than the ad in Offshore Only. I may call the FBI on this just for fun.

Look at the pictures of the cockpit. There are two pictures and they don't match up at all. Two different boats in the pics...

Bad to the bone: Hey if you buy another boat, call me, I would buy your old one!!:D :D

You are right...The Ebay listing must be a scam.
But the boat is real and for sale. The reason for the different dash pix is that the real seller is selling more than one boat. The other dash picture is of a 38'Cougar that he's also trying to unload. I'm not sure if this is the same 47, but there is a German guy who has a 47 with triples that was rigged by Bobby Moore back in the day. The owner of that 47 is taking delivery of the most insane Nor-Tech supercat I've ever seen, and I would assume that's why he's selling the 47....if it's the same boat.... |
Same boat
