I have already noticed the sun is lower in the sky, happens quick way up here. I do love boating, but for me the fall boating is just not the same when we don't have as many people to interact with.

Somethings are better alone, not convinced boating is one of them yet. Plus the majority of the eye candy has went back to college :lolhit:

Ya, fall boating is nice here too.

I only put about 25 hours on the motor so far this year.

A lot of unsettled weather and a bad heatwave this year.
Broke my outdrive back in June
Took 2 vacations.
Busy at work.

I live in CT. For those of you that keep you boats on the trailer as I do how late do you continue to use your boat before you are worried of freezing and cracking blocks and lines?

Until the weather really breaks. In 07 I was boating halloween weekend, it was 75 degrees.

I just watch the forecast, if there is a quick drop coming that will stick I winterrize, if there is a drop that is freak for one night I have a marine cabin heater I put in the bilge for the night for peace of mind.

There's a general rule of thumb but it's something crazy like below 32 degrees for over 48 hours straight to crack a block. Leave the women and children at home, and go run in the north Atlantic in the fall when it really kicks up. Just you and a couple guys who won't ***** when you're running 100 through 5 footers

The check book will finally get a break for buying 60 gallons of gas at one crack.... But well worth every moment on the water. It's been a great summer. No major breakdowns here :)
