No other damage thank god, ordered valve hope to get her running tomorow night for weekend!!

If you melted down a plug and a valve it doesn't sound like it was from a failed plug but maybe a lean condition. Better look a little further to make sure you don't have a fuel issue and don't end up with a total meltdown.

Right, I bought the Cig with no power in June, used my engines from Baja, I ran it the first 2 weekends ran great, went out in big water the 3rd weekend, and then for a few weeks I noticed the STBD losing power (I was also fighting ignition issue) so I thought it was that, then I fixed ign. and it still had 400 rpm less, pulled fuel filters on both and found a ton of chit in STBD filter, I figure I loosened up chit in tank and clogged up which leaned her out, I have verified fuel otherwise and all checks out, I had tossed a new set of plugs in and it seemed ok but still down, so i pulled boat home and found this issue..

Got part here on table, fixing it up tonight, glad I am local to Summit Racing!!!!

I've always believed that a person "Makes His Own Luck".........In this case "Go buy a Lotto Ticket" Quick.

I had half the head break off a exhaust valve at about 4000rpm, it left one small mark on the piston and went right back out the exhaust port and through the pipe. The only damage was the exhaust tip flapper was broken. I was very lucky on this deal.

BTW...I bought a lotto ticket right after that....lets just say....I'm still working....but hey, it might work for you.

I had that in the past twice before I knew inconel was a MUST.

Once I got luck like you, the second time it took out the piston and cylinder wall, I tore engine down, machined what was needed and was back in within 2 weeks with new inconel on both engines!!!

I assembled the head and got boat running last night, she runs sweet!!!
