Default Torque Engineering V-12

Looking for the best drive to put behind my Torque Engineering V-12. Boat is a Carlson Offshore 33' with a notched transom. Engine will produce 1400 hp @ 1400 foot lbs. torque. Thanks for all feedback.

You can use a shaft drive if you fill that notch. I take it the drive hole has not been cut yet? Otherwise I would recommend the Sage Drive.

The original HP of the Torque was 1100. Have you supercharged it?

Do you have pics of your boat? Is this a new model or the old trimaran? I used to own a Carlson 24' trimaran, built in 1995.

Surface drive won't work.. Must be an I/O.. Made the mistake of buying a ASD 8 before researching the project.. Boat is set up for a SSM 6. I lucked out on the motor and tracked down the original motor builder and he has changed the valve train out and increased the hp.. As far as pics look for us on Texoma this next summer... This boat is one of three made. Reggie Fountain has one and the other is floating around somewhere in Colorado. Mine was the only one with the V 12 setup.

I understand there were five 33s built by Carlson. Martin Sanborn's father owns one(according to him). I have been to Reggie's old shop to buy my 24 and there was no 33 there at that time(2004), nor did Sanborn say anything about it.
