Good looking boat, but if the engine pictured is what's in the boat that's not an 8-71 you have there... However if you wanna trade an 8-71 for that PSI then I can help you out.. haha.. That's a big azz huffer and much more blower than an 8-71...

I had Stern Powr MX-107 on my Sonic. Stout drive, at the time 8 years ago, parts were available. I think they were out of Maine. But it sounds like you got what you need. Boat looks good. Great things about those drives is that you needed no specialty tools to work on them. Pretty straight forward.

If he needs parts in the future - I was able to find all the parts I needed for my old stern powr at Marysville Marine in Marysville, MI., but that was 6+ years ago.

1100 HP thru a 107 is a LOT! If i remember correctly, i believe they were rated for 750 HP.

hay guys, thanks again for all the help with the info i needed to find the parts to repair my lower unit,,,an for the 871 post my son posted, he never heard of a psi,,they are monsters,the boat has made some 134mph passes before we turned her down so she can live alittle longer, then the lower grearing went out,,,who knows. thanks again oso
