I'm not be perfect by a long shot but at least I try. Text typing on a message forum is not even trying.

That's cool...but you know what?? You, me, and everyone else with a passion for performance boats will now get lumped into this group of "small dick, speed obsessed, irresponsible idiots/rednecks/showoffs" etc that I've read in the comments sections of the 1000 different places this video is posted.

This video is NOT the kind of mainstream media attention that this hobby needs.

You have to have a little respect at speed on a surface you have very little if no control over.... I run in the Gulf, every now and then you hit one from out of no where.

However, that's not the question posed in this thread. The first post in this thread was about posting videos of accidents or questionable activity on the Internet for all to see.

Check out the video I came across and posted earlier in the thread. The driver of that boat is probably still doing the same stupid stuff.

The first time he crossed the wake he came dangerously close to a concrete dock on the far side of the river and then kept on doing it all the way past the neighborhood.

I would say that there is a learning opportunity from all such videos. The sport is hurt by the people that engage in this behaviour, not because someone recorded it.

"what happens on the river stays on the river" is no longer the case. You should expect that everything you do in public may be documented in some electronic form.

I don't disagree on any of the points you posted.

However, knowingly posting a video publicly with stupid actions or an accident on the internet is just a plain stupid thing to do in my opinion and not good for the future of our hobby. When my friend had his accident and I saved his life I uploaded the video for him on Youtube and sent him a private link. The only way you could see the video is if I sent you the link. I asked him what he wanted to do with it and he told me that he didn't want it public. that right was respected...

Agreed.

Mark, isn't it? Just giving you a hard time. I know you're on the Donzi forums. I'm just saying that if you're going to be the grammar police then you had better not follow it up with a less than perfect post. The English language has been butchered. It really amazes me sometimes to see well off and seemingly intelligent people make very basic grammatical and spelling errors. Carry on.:cartman:

This doesn't seem safe, blasting by a nearly stationary sailboat boat not even a boat length away while racing someone?

Check it out at time 6:15.
