Default Best Prop/Drive Ratio Combination

The age old question has been, what is the best, most efficient prop pitch ? At one time, the answer was, 33" for cleavers. However, with new rake angles, gear pressures and etc., has anything changed ?

somebody from Mercury told me that all of the bravos 22-36 except the 34 work well, he said for some reason the 34's never performed as well as the other pitches. I think that there are way to many variables to say that there is one best pitch.
