Why do you act that that? Were you picked on alot before you became successful enough to buy a nice boat (especially by Tablerock standards)? Does it bother you that your 2005 Fountain Ex with YPM 555's with 3.3's is just another boat at LOTO, whereas at Tablerock you can be somebody? I just don't understand why so negative? The thread is about why LOTO is so great. Couldn't you have mentioned that you love the Shootout and leave it at that?

Everybody knows that Tablerock is a great lake, but that is not what this is about. How about starting a new thread about "What makes Tablerock so Great".

I am not crying, I am just trying to figure out the hate. Next time you come up, holler and the first round is on me.

My question is this? Why do all you LOTO homos get all bent out of shape when someone starts pointing out the obvious?

1. The lake is the nastiest lake I have ever boated on....period.

2. The food is overrated...standard bar food....Applebees on the water....far from "excellent"..average at best.

3. It is littered with partially build condos and $hitbox homes..intermingled with mansions.

4. EVERYONE on LOTO who owns a boat over 28ft long and goes over 60MPH thinks they are "better drivers" cuz they boat on the home of the "Boneless Browns", (That means floating Turds for all you dumba$$es), which as Jason pointed out is just not true.

5. I have several friends that are State Patrol on BOTH LOTO and TRL...there is absolutely NO comparison between the two in regards to the number of dyckheads driving like morons in boats they have ZERO business driving and consequently causing accidents. Some d-bag who has money reads somewhere that LOTO is the best lake in the midwest. He then goes out and buys a 150MPH cat...you can figure out the rest. And stop saying its "The Jetskis"...Jesus.

6. As I have said before...LOTO has the Shootout...thats what makes it so great...for one week out of the year. All these other "points" by all the LOTO nutswingers are moot and just not true. Walks down memory lane, and life's lessons do not make for a good lake.

7. Its not a competition between LOTO and TRL..its a matter of telling the truth and calling it like it is. So now the LOTO mafia can all start text messaging each other and begin to formulate your weak response to the aforementioned facts. However, we all know the truth...and the above referenced facts call LOTO for what it is...An overrated, status quo, dangerous, filthy lake full of conforming lemmings who think something is cool just because they read it was the place to be in Powerboat Magazines "Top places to boat in 2010." And yes..I know Powerboat is no longer in publication.

You have a "Batboat and an Envision"....I rest my case.

TRL505, you sir bring being an a$$hole to a new level. I applaud you & your willingness to tell someone to get f*cked & do it with a smile.

I am certainly not a high roller and have never claimed to be. I am just trying to figure out why a guy like you, that has everything, has so much pent up hatred.

My question is this? Why do all you LOTO homos get all bent out of shape when someone starts pointing out the obvious?
You say I am a "homo"? You don't even know me. That comment is pretty much as far from the truth as possible.

1. The lake is the nastiest lake I have ever boated on....period.
Evidently you have not been on alot of lakes. Compared to some of the mudholes in Iowa, LOTO is pristine

2. The food is overrated...standard bar food....Applebees on the water....far from "excellent"..average at best.
You are right, the food is far from the best cuisine, but eating average food amongst good people, sitting right on the lake is great!

3. It is littered with partially build condos and $hitbox homes..intermingled with mansions.
There are a few condo complexes that are not complete, I agree. For several years developers could not keep up with demand and it got overbuilt. Many of the "****boxes" are original homes that have been there for years. Not all can afford the "mansions". For many, having to work hard in order to have a "****box" on LOTO is well worth it

4. EVERYONE on LOTO who owns a boat over 28ft long and goes over 60MPH thinks they are "better drivers" cuz they boat on the home of the "Boneless Browns", (That means floating Turds for all you dumba$$es), which as Jason pointed out is just not true.
Everyone? That must include you. It must also include guys like Dave Scott, Doc Jansen, and Randy Scism. Are you sure you meant "everyone"?

5. I have several friends that are State Patrol on BOTH LOTO and TRL...there is absolutely NO comparison between the two in regards to the number of dyckheads driving like morons in boats they have ZERO business driving and consequently causing accidents. Did you read the comment to Jason that actually supports that Lake of the Ozarks, by incidents, is actually safer than Tablerock. I mean no disrespect to Tablerock, because it is a great lake, but the numbers do not lie. There is no doubt that there are many, many more boats on LOTO. I also agree that sometimes money gets folks into too much boat too quick.

6. As I have said before...LOTO has the Shootout...thats what makes it so great...for one week out of the year. All these other "points" by all the LOTO nutswingers are moot and just not true. Walks down memory lane, and life's lessons do not make for a good lake.
Nutswingers? Isn't that kind of what you are acting like? Lots of folks do have fond memories of the lake, and new ones are made every weekend

7. Its not a competition between LOTO and TRL..its a matter of telling the truth and calling it like it is. So, you choose which articles you want to support (ecoli and "3rd most dangerous), yet you don not want to give any credit to what was the best boating magazine on the market? Once again, I don't get it.

You are exactly right. I have an Envision and a BatBoat, as it is all that I can afford. I work pretty hard for what I have, and I wish that I could have a bigger/faster boat, but these are it for now. I don't know exactly what kind of point that makes, though. With my slow boats, at least I am not one of the "everyone" that you mentioned above. That said, if I slipped my Bat next to your Fountain, any time, any where, I can guarantee that more people would show interest in my BatBoat. That said, pizzing higher on a pole is not that important to me.

Nobody is texting or attempting to figure out any response. This response is mine only and I stand behind it. I feel about the same as when I stuck up for a kid back in high school that the "cool" kids were picking on.

Once again, Tablerock is a great lake. It is crystal clear and alot of good folks choose to hang out there. This thread is about what makes LOTO great, it is not about your opinion on why it is not as good as Tablerock. Once again, I just do not understand people like you.

I notice cruisers are spoken poorly of at the lake. What are the biggest ones that are based there? 62 Searay sedan bridge type stuff? Meridian 441?

I hope that folks don't think that all Tablerock people are like you guys. I know several that go there, and they are top notch. If anybody is thinking about visiting Tablerock, I can assure you that these two are not indicitive to what you will find there.

Why is Loto so great? Well if u like bad ass boats, cool bars,a nice town with everything u could possibly need, nice people, nice atmosphere then Loto is a great spot!! Wish I had more time to stretch some rods there! Heck, u might even get to see White Lightning out crushin waves!

We have been coming to LOTO for 10+ years, and moved here 4 years ago. Say what you will, like it or hate it, it is a very unique place, and there is NO WHERE else in the US that you will see the volume and quality of hardware running around on any summer weekend, PERIOD.

If you think the quality of food and drink on the water is a glorified chain type restaurant for a higher price, it is too bad, because I wonder where you went to get that feel" And for price: no ****, it is on the water, it is going to cost more, DUH!!!

But... We have restaurants, bars and entertainment here, 100's of them, from the time you get here unload, you don't have to go back to your truck again until it is time to leave, where else can you have this kind of variety? Just to clarify, there is everything from a Riki Bar's to a burger joint's to a full blown gourmet dinner's, it is all about what you want to spend and the atmosphere you are looking for.

That is the reason we started coming here and have decided to stay.

Seriously if you think LOTO is dirty, let me show you some rivers in the US. The people, yep, it is full of pretty people, rich people, worker bees and people who just don't have anything of their own but love to visit to see what other people have.

Is it the best place on earth for everyone?, That is a personal decision, but for us, it is...

This is why we like LOTO. Come visit, judge for yourself.
