Growing up in Miami, it was Sundays on the Bay that all the performance boats docked at in the late afternoon! You would see Cigs, Apaches, Fountains, etc. 10 deep at the dock on a saturday or sunday afternoon. I would stop there all the time in my Velocity after shooting accross Biscayne Bay from Dinner Key. On occasions we would run up to Shooters...but most of the time we hopped up and back between the old Monte Trainers in Coconut Grove and Sundays on Key Biscayne..

Their website has ads with "under new management" tags on them.
There was one back in the day... early 90's, in Melbourne that hit it off big time and managed to capture a lot of what they had in Lauderdale. Then somehow it went down the crapper. I wonder if all the other shooters are gone, didn't they franchise them all over the place at one point? |

I grew up in south florida since we moved from New York in 1969 and lived there till I couldnt take any more of the greed and avarice that has enveloped that area and left ten years ago.. To me its disgusting how they destroyed an awesome area to live in the name of profit.. Glad I got out when I did is all I can say.. |

Midas Touch~
Anything Reggie and his canadian partners touched, became "THE" hotspot - they would take a spot, turn it into gold, sell it at while at the top and moved into another market - each time, the place they sold would slowly go down hill.
I believe they did it in this order: Stagger Lee's (50's/60's) Cowboys Country Disco Shooters - originally called TGI's On The Water? Bootleggers And now he (Reggie) is doing well with the Whitehouse. |
