I agree!

He located one that already had the fuel tank issue done and located a pair of 300's that was up to his standards. I even welcomed him to a key to the shop when he drove over from PA to OH a couple weekends to do some rigging work that he wanted to do himself. He probably had more access to this build than a new boat purchase.

So all in all, what was the approximate cost of this project?

All projects are going to be different on cost. We did allot of extras like new rub rail, and the flooring. I don't want to post money that another OSO member spent, but we were not the only location he quoted paint and interior. He did ask why we were less than many others? There are NO money issues on this job between all involved. Not often you hear that comment....

I will be more than happy to review your Baja 24. PM or email me.

Exactly what I thought, I was almost thinking "oh, the paint looks nice but a little dated for brand new" haha (about first pics). Finished it looks like a bad ass brand new ride.

Boat came out awesome. I too would love to know what ends up in an older boat resto like this, in case I win the lottery.

He is probably 1/3 the cost of a brand new 28 Skater that looks better than it did in 2000. I think with the power of the internet to locate people, products, and information this trend is here to stay for awhile. IMO.

This boat runs our home lake, run and raft with it often.

It was VERY nicely done by all involved, looks incredible in person.

Great Job !!

I was thinking about you when I saw this thread. Still need a ride in your 28. By next spring you should have enough seat time to be trustworthy.

XT, the boat looks GREAT!
