I saw that Bulls#$t add as well. I have been boating in lake Erie my whole life. If you want a pounding take a boat out on a day with a 15mph nor'easter and tell me it aint rough. I'll take those big wide lazy rollers over a day like that. I also love when the "ocean guys" tell us we would not know how to handle the tides. Well here is my answer: at least you have a tide chart to tell you when the water level is changing. Try beening at a yacht club on the maumee river and the wind starts blowing hard out of the south west and drops the water level an honest 1-2 FEET in an hour! That can suck big time especially if you are at a fixed dock. Not that Lake Erie is the worst by any means, but it is not a wlak in the park either. Shallow water kicks up very and fast and to our advantage it settles very fast. Hence all the smooth sunset cruises home from the bay after the wind dies.

I've was in Lake Erie running side by side with one of my buddies and the waves were so big that he would dissappear from time to time.I think there were a couple underwear changes during that trip!

Luv-N-It....The Casino is a marina and bar where a lot of speed boaters hang out and party. Also what part of Central Ohio are you from?

Thrillseeker,
I am from Columbus. Actually, Ashville, south of Columbus off St. Rt. 23.I believe I left you a post on stupid ramp tricks asking you about Alum Creek. I boat there a lot. As a matter of fact, I'll be there most of the weekend, staying on the water.

What kind of boat you have?

Chris...yeah always in that area mostly at Kellys Is.
Its alot less crowded than the PIB, also a lot more laid back. Its cool because you can hang out on the docks and drink and nobody bothers you.

I'm headin to Alum Creek. Be on the water @ 3:30 PM, hopefuly without the kids too. I will stay the night there. But, I would be willing to go somewhere else if we are kidless.

I had a buddy who went to Indian Lake Saturday and watched the fireworks. He said it was nice. Took a little while to get off the water though.

You go to Indian Lake a lot?
