To make a statement that an armature is safer in a cat is insane. Wrong trim on a cat means going over or driving the nose to the bottom of the lake in most cases. More people are spinning out v hulls than cats simply cause there are more v hulls out there, a lot more. Btw turn too fast in a cat and they usually flip over like a car :D

This . I have known guy's who have welded for years but yet they can not weld . I have known guy's that can run an underground mining machine yet they can not operate one . Unfortunately there are many that can not read what a machine is telling them because they simply do not have the skills needed . Can these skills be learned you asked ? Some of it can , some of it comes with experience but some people just do not have the God given talent or feel to truly operate anything at a high performance level . When i bought my cat i sought out the guy's that had many years of experience flying this hull type to teach me . From there i went on experimenting to find all the known and unknown edges of my particular cat so as not to be caught off guard when water conditions or traffic dictated a particular maneuver . In the right water conditions i can pin your head to your shoulder or powerslide a turn , neither are recommended but yes i can do it and have many times . You either have a feel for machinery or you do not . What does this have to do with this thread , beats me . the deep

they turn differently but both can spin out, if you do it going slow its fun, at high speed big problem. I have had two boats that would spin out, a Donzi 22zx and the Eliminator 28 Daytona, I spun them both on purpose around 30 mph no big deal and you can feel it happening. I never tried with either one at speed but you could feel the Daytona start to rotate if you were turning to sharply, just back off the turn a little and you were fine. Also trim had a lot to do with it with the cat the more trimmed in it was the further forward the point of rotation was, basically the edge of the inside sponson was the pivot point.

I've been waiting for the pillow fight. Lol. It must be getting cold up yonder. Armature! LOl!! Innards. Still laughing!
I had a 26' Thouroughbred (Velocity) pad bottom with twin 260s', 80+ mph. A drivers boat. Now I have a 25' Talon same 260s' 105+ mph cat. The Talon will turn at 60 and through you out in the process if your not paying attention. Two completely diffrent animals. I would quote Garys (twin o/b sonic) comparison. They both are fun to drive and experience at near their limits.

Want to guess which one was...

Actually, this one kinda gives it away. Foot on the floor, into a head wind playin w/trim buttons to stay entertained. Kinda like ridin a jet ski you had to do something stupid to have fun.

Way different than a real cat of course but you get the idea.
