Depends on the power and drive of choice. The boats with a notch are designed to run without a stand-off box while the boats with no notch were for Speedmaster 5's, 6's or bravo's with boxes.

Thanks for the nice comments all of you , the boat belongs to my friend Lars Berntsen who are working for Goldfish boats making some reliable tuned Yanmar diesel engines. I am also a fan Jay , running a Motion 25 since 14 years now , This boat was insane stable and I was amazed of the 100mph before I could say wow hehe. The exhaust route out in the notch makes is realy quiet when the water is cushion the sound waves a lot. Lars is a realy nice guy and has love and passion for his engines , he and his companion did all the engine and rigging work themselfes. I loved to make this video for him .

Your right ;-) Lars say with propping up he would maybe see 20mph more but , he guesses he will be into dangerous speeds and loose the cool acceleration he has now. He wants to sell it and says new owner could make the decision.

yeah that boat is plenty capable of out running that speedo! i rigged one with 750's in it. its a animal. b blades did some fantastic prop work for it too

Espen how you doing buddy!! I see you say you still running, the Motion that is sweet!!! Thank you for that killer Video!! Sold my Motion it was super fun boat just was looking for more speed. HAHAHA
