I would like to get my prop reworked and am looking for suggestions on who does the best work.

I had mine done by John York in Anaheim. It cost $150.00 plus shipping. He did a great job and the prop is fantastic. I know several other OSO members have also worked with John and had similar experiences. His number is 714-773-5444.

Just got mine back from York 2 weeks ago,And I have to 2nd what seanclong says they look & work great,but for my Bravo 1s he charged me 175.00 plus shipping,seanclong must have a in But still a hell of a lot cheaper than Merc.

Send your prop to Mercury Racing's prop Lab. They are the best, and no one stands behind their work like Mercury. Besides, you will get some cool "Mercury Racing" decals in the box when the prop is sent back to you. If you need the info let me know.

I held my York labbed props up to a pair of Merc's labbed props....there is NO COMPARISON! Merc's were very inconsistant on the blade thickness where as York's were extremely consistant and looked great. Also, York's beat out several labbed finished props from other companies down at Lake-X including Merc's labbed finished props. Merc gets about $350-375 per props and York gets about $150-175 per prop----can't beat that with a stick!

What is the turn-around time for York to lab a prop? I'll want to get mine labbed eventually and am more or less local to Anaheim....It would be nice if it is only a couple of day turn around.

Just talked with John it is a 10 day turn around time and $175.00 for the work.

I had good luck with Bronson Hill. Picked up 2 mph!! He charged $300/prop plus shipping.

I have had 2 really bad experiences with Mercury Hi Performance....they should call Low Performance. I sent a sent of props to be labbed finished.....they come back looking like chit. I called and naturally they said send them back......which I did.......and then they charged me again..for what they where supposed to do the first time. They had my props....it took 6 weeks......so I paid again. They did work and looked good this time. 2 years later.....I went through the same thing again............
NEVER AGAIN..........third time...shame on me.
They over charge for what you can get other places and the other guys get things done with faster results
