I still go to Shooters, maybe it's just me being sentimental about the good old days but I still like that place. To me the food seems fine, a chicken sandwich or a burger is a chicken sandwich or a burger, and the place seems pretty clean. Really not that many options of places to pull right up with a boat anymore.

To the north: Houston's Steakhouse at Atlantic Blvd/ICW Pompano

To the South: Southport Raw Bar up the 15th street canal (last canal west befoe 17th street causeway bridge. Across from Pier 66...15th Street Fisheries/Fuel Dock is on the point of the canal.

Houston's is a great scene. I usually eat there every time I'm in town.

There are a few good places up the new river in lauderdale, The Pirates Republic Bar (old shirttale charleys), The Briney pub, or the Down Towner Saloon are all pretty nice. It doesnt take much arm twisting to get them to crank up the music at Pirates Republic either.

Yeah I like Houstons a lot, 15th street fisheries is pretty good too. Southport and the places up the new river seem to be really casual and usually pretty dead. That whole area by riverfront is like a ghost town. Sometimes it's nice to have a little scene going on.

I really don't care about the food when I go boating. I do really HATE to idle in the ditch all the way to shooters and the pool at what was the old shooters in North Miami now known as Dufffys is usually pretty good.

I am thinking Duffys is sounding more and more like the spot, the scenery at shooters and boot leggers is not quite what it was, this past year has been rough on the place.

That seems to be plan A depending on weather.

Now we need a boat count.
