Default Removing Barnacles??

Finishing up my tiki bar taxi/baby bass boat and the last thing is cleaning the bottom. It is nasty. Not covered w/the typical dried on skuz, the bottom is actually fairly clean except for the left behind translucent, bazillion crustacean shells stuck to the gel.
They absolutely shredded the carpet on the trailer bunks before I got it. Scraped a bunch off it off w/a putty knife but is still bad.
Do the toilet/hull cleaning acids work on these little pricks or am I screwed? I even hit it w/a D.A. w/120 paper and it only took off part of it

Youre pretty much screwed with that growth. Spray them with pool shock and let them dry out then get under there with a scraper. I just did a blast job that we had to scrape the whole bottom prior because it a layer of barnacles on it like a carpet. For some reason it wasnt mentioned in the initial call lol. Its a gross job unfortunately if theyre still active.
