Hose clamp cuts
Think I set a record for getting hose clamp cuts this weekend winterizing the engines, fingers, wrists, arm and one good gash on the back of one hand. Bleed all over the place. Sure wish drain plugs and some hoses were easier to access and remove.

Didn't cut myself up like you did, just a couple very minor scrapes during the winterization process over the weekend. Still sux though. Not getting any younger and accessing some things in the bilge is getting to be a f'n PIA. After reading your post and re-living the fun of winterizing, wonder if it would be worth replacing the block drains with fittings, and putting a foot or so of hose on them, and block/plug the other end of the hose. When it's time to drain the block just unplug the hoses and let'r rip. Be easy to do.
Yeah yeah, some may boo hoo over blowing some bling under the hatch by adding more hoses.... tough schidt LOL

i guess your are missing the rubber ends..put some silicone across the tip of the cutting edge of the hose clamp and you wont have any problems next year..
