The gopro remotes make it idiot proof. with the phone app its even easier.
The drift camera appears nice, but once you compare them its not in the same ball park.

I have the drift innovations hd170, blows the gopro away. Video is not as good, but its easy to use, I can see exactly what I'm shooting, comes with a remote, mounting is easier, getting angles is easier, the camera itself is waterproof (doesnt need a casing like the gopro), better mic sensitivity settings, 8 hour battery life at 1080, and a rotating lense! I couldnt tell you how many gopro users saw it and said f-it with the go pro

Depending on your needs and wants I guess. I typically set mine up at the beginning of the day and rarely change it. Like I said, I capture everything I can in as high and as fast (fps) as I can and modify if later. I run mine til the battery stops or I run out of disk space.

I also have a "cheat sheet" i printed and carry in my camera bag.

I have also been using goPro's for the last 6 years and am capturing something on disk at least 5-6x a month, so Im pretty familiar with the settings and features.

My son and I are into RC trucks and crawlers, snow boarding, skiing and mountain biking. So it goes everywhere we go....you never know whats gonna happen next.

That thing is a huge (5.25"!!) dinasour, not waterproof and according to the manual only last 2.5 hours. What's the big deal?

Compare apples to apples at least...... the new drift innovation.
http://driftinnovation.com/camera/drift-hd/

In my opinion.... and many others that have seen and used it..... it blows the gopro away. To each his own. I would sacrifice video quality for ease of use... thats just me.
