Hurrican Sandy going to hit NJ.......

Kevin, didn't realize you were an ex local like me.....that makes it even tougher to look at, huh? Thanks again Tim for the pics. My dad is going to head into town today to see what he's got left.
I ran across this video taken from a guard helo. They start at the south end of PPB, right at my dad's lake (lake of the lillies), and head south to Seaside. It's not the best quality, but it's one of the best illustrations of the devastation I've seen yet. There were a bunch of huge houses between the Mantoloking bridge and the ocean. They're simply gone now. The helo even circles around. There's almost nothing left there. It's crazy. You can see plenty of other places along the beach where houses are destroyed or simply gone.

Terribly heart-breaking. I'm so sorry for those of you affected by this. Good luck, everyone!

Here's a good recap with tons of pics (from the UK, of all places):

The Raritan Bayshore(Middletown NJ) is devastated. Just took a drive through with my brother. The water line is high 5 to 6 feet high on some of the garage doors. Some of the homes have the walls knocked out from the wave/wind action. Last time I remember something like this was hurricane Donna (early 60's I believe)

Connection restored. Back to uploading.
I shot 5 more marinas today including Arnolds.
Sorry to say it isn't pretty...
Shot Bay Head coastline and surrounding streets.
You wouldn't recognize it as it stands today...
