Boat looks awesome!

Why scoops on the hatches? Why not the old school Apache style race/blower hatches?

There's some old footage of the Warpath, I think it may have been it's debut season, and the boat had scoops. If I can find the video I'll post it. I think it was the Pt. Pleasant Grand Prix.

Yea, i have seen those, old school style scoops, those could work too:)

With all the new stuff out there, it is pretty amazing to see Bobby put together a new twist on his old receipe for success and still come out on top. Not to mention that anybody who is really serious about running hard in the open ocean has already picked up an older 41 Apache and redone it. The 41 came from a stretched 37.6 foot Cigarette. That 37.6 later became the Top Gun. Bobby showed up with the first 37.6 in Mar del Plata, Argentina in 1978. As you would expect, the boat was immaculate when it was unwrapped. Congrats buddy, you have only gotten better with age, keep up the good work and let's see that new boat come back from Europe with a first overall.

This boat has exceeded expectations. I remember the goal as 90 mph (best case) an on the first sea trial, full of fuel, three 200+ guys in the boat and no engine hatch it beat that #by a lot and with the engines on the bump box.

To say Bobby is happy is an understatement as this boat surprised us all. I don't know where this bottom came from or who designed what but it runs really well with modest power.

DrGaryDC 03-29-2013 10:11 AM

Ok, so what does that mean "beat that #by alot", 94, 100, 105?
