We did the cumberland poker run this year. 42 fountain with stock 500's I think it cost $100.00 each way for fuel in a kodiak 4500 and we are only 3 hours from Cumberland I think we spent $600.00 in fuel in the boat between running around and doing the run. The Hotel was $125.00 per night We had a house to stay at the first two nights so only one night in the hotel. We had 4 guys and I think we each spent about $500.00 each that includes a whole lot of beer and the 8 cheese burgers state dock charged us $79.00 for

Cost me around $700 - $800 to do SOTPR at LOTO. That was entry fee, diesel, gas, food, booze, etc. Stayed with a friend so no hotel cost.

I'm a Poker Run rookie....I did the Old Hickory Run this past July and had a great time. Lunch Run on Friday was about 40 miles Poker Run Saturday was 90 miles according to the talk.
Boat Gas = $270.00
Truck Gas = $160.00
Hotel two nights @ Double Tree $300.00
Poker Run Entry Fee $125.00
Thats $855.00 plus your food and drink so all in for me it was about a $1200.00 weekend and that was a to a run that was about 2.5 hrs. from home. There great fun and worth it in my opinion.

How bout you mind your business? I have 3 jobs, and do ok, but seems like if you don't make 300k+ then you get sh!t on for trying to enjoy this sport on a budget.

If you knew Jamie you wouldn't have responded the way you did...Kid works his a$$ off for what he has and knows more about boats than many of the self proclaimed "experts" on these boards (including you probably). I can relate to his opinion when it comes to people that get free hand outs or sit on there high horse when it comes to finances and money.

Thanks guys, back to the op before this gets side tracked. Any of the runs I've attended all charity runs, fall right in line with what the others have posted. A lot of great people involved, many of which respect everyone there from the guy in a 22 scarab with balls bigger than the boat to owners of cigs, ol, fountains etc. all said and done a great experience I reccomend to anyone at least once.

I do a lot of dinghy poker runs and those are about 20$ to enter, about 5$ in gas, a couple bucks in oil if you have a 2 stroke, maybe 10$ or so in water cannons and squirt guns. And I don't want to add up the drinks might fall over. Don't know if that helps here, but thought I'd mention it
